The EPO hosted a delegation from the Moroccan Office of Industrial and Commercial Property (OMPIC) at its headquarters in Munich in September 2025 to mark 10 years of successful co-operation under the Validation Agreement. This agreement, which entered into force in 2015, has facilitated access to the Moroccan market for European patent holders, while supporting innovation, tech transfer, growth and investment in Morocco. On this occasion, EPO President António Campinos and OMPIC Director General Abdelaziz Babqiqi sat down for a short video interview. They spoke about the benefits of the validation agreement, and about future co-operation.
