GINA Diplomatic 2.0

GINA Diplomatic 2.0

GINA Diplomatic 2.0 introduces a clearer, more accessible homepage designed to support policy users. The updated landing page highlights where the data come from and provides up-to-date statistics on global coverage, helping users quickly assess the scope and relevance of the information. Improved navigation makes it easier to move between GINA dashboards and locate related policy insights. The dashboard has been fully updated to 2024 and now incorporates a new diplomatic domain based on the Country and Organization Leader Travel (COLT) dataset. This addition allows users to examine long-term patterns of diplomatic engagement, drawing on more than 15,000 recorded leader visits worldwide from 1990 to 2024. By integrating state-level and global perspectives into a single view, the dashboard enables more seamless comparison across countries and regions. New filtering options help analysts focus on the most policy-relevant diplomatic interactions. Across all pages, an interactive global map provides an intuitive overview of country-level trends and serves as an entry point to detailed country profiles. Each view also includes summary statistics for the selected time period and focus area, alongside a customizable time series that supports analysis of change over time—useful for tracking shifts in diplomatic activity and informing comparative policy assessments.
