We all love our national parks, and public lands, but do you know the history of what it took to protect them? Some of our nation's most iconic spaces, including Yosemite and the Grand Canyon, would have been decimated by greedy corporations who saw these irreplaceable landscapes as nothing more than a “cash register.” Fortunately, Sierra Club and other advocates mounted intense public pressure campaigns to protect the places we know and love today.
