Keeping Pace with Women Entrepreneurs: Insights Into Smarter, Faster Financial Health Measurement

What does it really mean for women entrepreneurs to thrive? For women leading micro and small enterprises, success goes beyond credit or revenue. It’s about resilience: confidence in decision-making, balancing business and household responsibilities, and the capacity to withstand shocks. In this session, Tanvi Jaluka, Research Lead for CARE’s Women’s Entrepreneurship Unit, will be in conversation with Saipriya Salla of 60 Decibels, unpacking why financial health is a better pathway to resilience than traditional inclusion metrics -- and why organizations need rapid, practical measurement to understand women’s real experiences. Together, they’ll introduce the Strive Women Financial Health Scorecard: how it was ideated and co-designed, what it measures, and where it stands today, including how AI is making the tool faster, more adaptive, and more accessible for diverse users. The discussion will be facilitated by Danielle Hopkins, a financial inclusion and financial health specialist.
