How to Draw Corals

On the occasion of Children's Day, Dakshin Foundation and RainbowFish Studio designed a workshop on corals for children aged 6-9 years. The workshop included an introduction to corals by marine biologists Tanmay Wagh and Esha Gokhale, and a coral drawing session by art educator Amala Aiana. RainbowFish Studio is a school-based Visual Arts and Design Education program for Grades K-8. Working collaboratively with artists, designers and art educators, RainbowFish have developed a curriculum that builds a strong creative foundation for young learners. The Art Integrated Learning approach also ties the Visual Arts to core school subjects. RainbowFish takes its vibrant program to over 4000 students in schools across the country. Dakshin Foundation is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation based out of Bengaluru, India. Dakshin's mission is to inform and advocate for conservation and natural resource management, while promoting and supporting sustainable livelihoods, social development and environmental justice. India’s coastal, marine and island systems form the primary focus of Dakshin's work.
