Leatherback sea turtles are the largest of all living turtles, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands serve as one of their crucial nesting habitats in the Indian Ocean. Our work here is not just about monitoring nesting pattern, we also study their movement ecology to understand where these giants go when they leave our shores. This video explores the spatial scale of their lives and the importance of monitoring these remote islands.
