Farmers are witnessing the impact of modern agriculture firsthand—healthier crops, better soil, smarter water use, and new income opportunities like mushroom cultivation. Through practical, hands-on learning, UNDP Iraq and the Smithsonian Institution, with support from the Government of Japan, are helping farmers in southern Iraq adapt to climate change and protect their livelihoods. --- يشهد المزارعون اليوم أثر الزراعة الحديثة بشكل مباشر، من محاصيل أكثر صحة، وتربة أفضل، واستخدام أمثل للمياه، إلى جانب فرص دخل جديدة، مثل زراعة الفطر. ومن خلال برامج تعليمية عملية وتطبيقية، يعمل برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي في العراق، بالشراكة مع مؤسسة سميثسونيان وبدعم من حكومة اليابان، على مساعدة المزارعين في جنوب العراق على التكيّف مع تغيّر المناخ وحماية سبل عيشهم.
