Since September 2023, millions of Afghans have been forcibly returned from Iran and Pakistan, facing immense challenges as they attempt to resettle. UN-Habitat, together with partners, is supporting returnees with shelter and basic services—but the needs far outweigh available resources. Now is the time for collective action to stand with Afghan returnees.
