Indigenous storytellers Kynan Tegar and Ana Lucía Ixchiu Hernández invite the Skoll community to play a role in safeguarding the Earth as they offer a glimpse into their cultures and those of the 76 Indigenous and local community filmmakers across 26 countries who contributed to their film A Day on Earth, a participatory documentary feature, filmed simultaneously on Earth Day, April 22, 2025. The film, produced by If Not Us Then Who? with the support of the Skoll Foundation, captures everyday acts of love and protection for Mother Earth, demonstrating that for Indigenous peoples, every day is Earth Day, and through their ancestral traditions, they play a critical part in protecting our planet.
