The majority of Kenya’s smallholder farmers largely rely on rainfall to irrigate their crops, as only six percent of farmland in the country is irrigated. Futurepump manufactures and sells a range of products that meet their needs. REEEP’s 10th Call in 2013, which Futurepump was a part of, helped them test finance plans and decide whether they wanted to be financing their products or focus on manufacturing.
