Nepal 🇳🇵 proudly celebrates being #polio-free since 2010 - certified by World Health Organization (WHO) in 2014. This remarkable milestone reflects the tireless efforts of health workers, volunteers, communities, and the Government of Nepal in protecting millions of children from this debilitating disease but we must stay alert with strong surveillance, timely response, and high immunization coverage to keep every child safe. This #WorldPolioDay (24 October) and always, WHO stands 🤝 with the Government of #Nepal and partners to sustain the nation’s polio-free status. ** नेपालले 🇳🇵 सन् २०१० देखि पोलियोमुक्त राष्ट्र भएको गौरवपूर्ण उपलब्धि मनाउँदै आएको छ, जसलाई विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठनले सन् २०१४ मा प्रमाणित गरेको थियो । यो उल्लेखनीय उपलब्धि स्वास्थ्यकर्मीहरू, स्वयंसेवकहरू, समुदायहरू र नेपाल सरकारको अथक प्रयासको प्रतिफल हो, जसले लाखौँ बालबालिकालाई अपाङ्गता निम्त्याउने यो रोगबाट सुरक्षित राख्न सफल भएका छन् । तर, प्रत्येक बालबालिकाको स्वास्थ्य सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित गर्नका लागि सशक्त निगरानी, समयमा प्रतिकार्य, र उच्च खोप कवरेज कायम राख्दै हामी सधैं सतर्क रहनु आवश्यक छ । यस विश्व पोलियो दिवस (२४ अक्टोबर) का अवसरमा र आगामी दिनहरुमा पनि, विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन नेपाल सरकार र साझेदारहरूसँग मिलेर 🤝 देशको पोलियोमुक्त स्थिति जोगाइराख्न प्रतिबद्ध छ ।
