KAIPTC hosted Mr. Jonathan Cohen, Executive Director of Conciliation Resources, for a high level courtesy visit focused on strengthening collaboration in peacebuilding and conflict prevention across West Africa. The engagement provided an opportunity to exchange insights on evolving conflict dynamics in the Sahel and across coastal and border communities, where security challenges continue to shift. Discussions with the Commandant, Air Vice Marshal David Akrong, emphasized the need to move beyond traditional security responses and adopt more inclusive, community driven approaches. Both sides highlighted the importance of integrating the voices of women and youth, strengthening early warning systems, and addressing structural issues such as gender norms to ensure sustainable peace.
