Speakers at the High-Level Regional Dialogue on Weapons and Ammunition Management (WAM) have called for stronger weapons and ammunition management to prevent violent conflict and extremism in the Gulf of Guinea. They have stressed the need for integrated arms control, stronger regional cooperation, and action on the root causes of insecurity.

The two-day regional dialogue was organised by the United Nations Development Programme (
