Peace and security conversations are most impactful when institutions come together not only to respond to today’s challenges, but to shape the future of the continent through collaboration, innovation, and shared purpose. It's the reason,The Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre, (KAIPTC) led by the Commandant, Air Vice Marshal David Akrong, engaged the United Nations Development Programme - UNDP mission team to Ghana in strategic discussions on Africa’s evolving peace and security landscape. The engagement explored the role of institutions and development partners in strengthening regional stability, reinforcing legal and policy frameworks, and enhancing joint national security coordination to address increasingly complex challenges confronting the continent. Discussions focused on critical issues including maritime and border security, cybercrime, climate change, peacebuilding partnerships, and alignment with the African Union Peace and Security Agenda, while also highlighting opportunities for youth empowerment through strategic sectors such as maritime and seafaring pathways.
