Recognising the value of shared expertise in promoting peace and security across Africa, the Benin Centre for Humanitarian Demining Training (CPADD) and the Nigeria Defence College paid a working visit to the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) to explore opportunities for collaboration and learn from the Centre’s experience in training, research, and peace support operations. The visit began with a courtesy call on the Commandant, Air Vice Marshal David Akrong, before engagements with KAIPTC’s Training and Research Departments. Discussions focused on strengthening institutional cooperation, enhancing professional military education, and identifying areas for future collaboration. Particular interest was expressed in KAIPTC’s role as an ECOWAS Centre of Excellence and its contribution to capacity-building for peace and security across the continent.
