Billy Porter visits the U.S. South with the Elton John AIDS Foundation

HIV stigma and discrimination is pervasive in the U.S. South, which has a devastating effect on the mental and emotional well-being of those who must endure it. To address this, the Elton John AIDS Foundation is working with Vision Community Foundation in Georgia to provide HIV training for faith leaders. Billy Porter - an LGBTQ+ individual living with HIV and long-time supporter of the Elton John AIDS Foundation joined us in Atlanta to visit our grantee, Vision Community Foundation to explore the stigma surrounding HIV, and the detrimental impact this can have on a person’s experience and relationship with faith and spirituality.
