International Women's Day: Dr. Idowu's story
HIV doesn’t impact everyone equally.
Women and girls continue to face some of the highest risks – and often the greatest barriers to care.
25 years ago, Dr. Idowu stepped into an antiretroviral clinic as a volunteer. What she saw there changed her life. So she stayed.
Today, her mission is clear: make stigma-free HIV care accessible to everyone.
With support from our partner, Population Council, her clinic has strengthened service delivery and created a space where people feel safe to seek care, without fear or judgement.
This is what leadership looks like.
