We convened a powerful conversation on aligning fiscal policy with human rights obligations in Latin America and the Caribbean. Held on 27 May during the 37th ECLAC Fiscal Policy Summit in Santiago, the event brought together States, UN agencies, civil society organisations and experts from across the region. The panel featured interventions from our Executive Director, Camila Barretto Maia, along with Julieta Rossi (United Nations CESCR Member), Liselott Kana (Co-Chair, United Nations Tax Committee), Juan Pablo Bohoslavsky (CONICET) and Rodrigo Uprimny (Dejusticia), with moderation by Chafik Ben Rouin and Laura Ramírez (OHCHR), and commentary by María Emilia Mamberti (CESR).
