The Continental Stocktaking Conference on Youth, Peace and Security, organised by COMESA in partnership with the African Union, Search for Common Ground, UNFPA, UNDP, UNICEF, the Horn of Africa Youth Network, the Institute for Security Studies, ACCORD, GIZ, the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region, the Africa-Europe Foundation, and Youth for SDGs Kenya, brought together young peacebuilders, policymakers and development partners across Africa to mark 10 years of UNSCR 2250, and more importantly – to shape what comes next. Through powerful conversations, shared experiences, and bold commitments, the Conference helped to achieve the co-creation of practical solutions, strengthen accountability, and set the agenda for future YPS implementation. The message was clear: youth are not simply beneficiaries of peace; they are its drivers. As we look to the next decade, the momentum continues.
