EBU Members joined forces under an EBU initiative to overcome Israel’s media blockade in Gaza, report on the famine and make the footage available to public service media. Local Palestinian journalists – themselves enduring the famine and dangers of war – gathered the footage and interviews, which were published simultaneously on 28 August 2025. The EBU thanks all journalists who made this collaboration possible despite great risk and daily hardships, and repeat our demand that Israel allow unrestricted access to Gaza for foreign news reporters.
