Over the last decade, the UNFPA Safeguard Young People (SYP) programme has emerged as a powerful force, sowing the seeds of empowerment among countless adolescents and young people in East and Southern Africa. In Zambia, with the generous support of the Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation (since 2013) and the Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands (since 2023), SYP created an enabling legal environment for effective policies on adolescent sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR).
