FCA’s New Climate Rules: Carbon Tracker on What Investors Need to Know

The UK's Finance Conduct Authority (FCA) have announced a Prospectus Review, specifically: 'Consultation on the new Public Trading Offers and Admissions to the Trading Regulations regime (POATRs), CP24/12.' This is an important development because oil, coal and gas companies would have to explain why they believe the development of their reserves would be consistent with the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement, not pose a risk to the remaining carbon budget, while still protecting overall market integrity. In this video, Mark Campanale - Founder and ED of Carbon Tracker - explains the significance of this consultation and why its within the interest of investors, asset managers and financial institutions to respond with their feedback. The deadline is 18th October 2024. Below are documents we've created to assist you with your reply.
