Food loss and waste remains one of the most pressing challenges facing global food systems—while millions experience hunger, over 1 billion tonnes of food is wasted each year. Cities sit at the centre of this challenge, but also offer powerful opportunities to rethink how food is managed, recovered, and redistributed. This webinar brought together practitioners working on circular food system approaches, highlighting practical solutions that reduce waste while retaining value across the urban food value chain. The session included insights from Refreshi, a platform connecting surplus food with redistribution networks.
