Putting education and a career within reach: Luz’s story
Growing up, Luz Pereira, 18, overcame major hurdles, but her parents always encouraged her to pursue her dreams. She was thrilled when was accepted to vocational school — but she soon considered leaving due to the cost. Now, with support from the REACH scholarship, she is studying business administration.
In Guatemala, Honduras and Paraguay, the Realizing Equitable Access, Retention and Completion in Higher Education (REACH) project — funded by USAID and implemented by FHI 360 and a consortium of partners — increases access to market-relevant higher education and training for marginalized young people so they can thrive academically, professionally and personally.
