Women Deliver 2026: What is needed to make feminist futures a reality?
Feminist futures begin with the funding decisions we make today.
Women Deliver 2026 came to a close last week. This year, the conversations took place against a stark reality. Overseas Development Aid (ODA) fell by 23.1%, the largest drop on record. The message could not be clearer. Gender equality needs more funding, and it needs to be better funding.
Funding must be led by feminist movements and grounded in the realities of communities facing inequality. Investing in gender equality means investing in democracy, peace, and shared futures.
The time to finance feminist futures is now.
