A focus on maternal health and noncommunicable diseases
🔍 International Maternal Health and Rights Day puts a spotlight on pregnancy in all its complexity.
👩⚕️ At HRP, our new Research for Impact video with Dr Doris Chou looks at pregnancy in the context of noncommunicable diseases. The discussion highlights conditions such as diabetes and sickle cell disease, and reflects on why they matter for women who are pregnant or may become pregnant.
🔬 Dr Chou also points to other areas of inquiry now being explored at HRP, as part of a broader research agenda on maternal health and sexual and reproductive health and rights.
