Regional conference on Sustainable livestock transformation for food systems in Asia and the Pacific
As Asia—home to nearly 60% of the world’s population—faces rising demand for livestock products alongside growing climate and resource pressures, the need for sustainable livestock transformation has never been more urgent. Ahead of the Regional Conference on Sustainable Livestock Transformation for Food Systems in Asia and the Pacific, four speakers from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment of Vietnam (MAE), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), and the French Agricultural Research Centre for International Development (CIRAD) share their perspectives on the challenges, opportunities, and the importance of regional collaboration in shaping a more sustainable and resilient future.
