Preventing transboundary animal diseases: Biosecurity – A shield against foot-and-mouth disease
Foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) can spread rapidly and cause major losses for livestock farmers. This video explains the risks of FMD, including the emerging SAT1 serotype, common symptoms, transmission pathways and practical biosecurity measures to help protect livestock and livelihoods.
The video was produced under the ICT4Health project, funded by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (MAFRA) of the Republic of Korea, and jointly implemented by the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) and the Vietnam Institute of Animal and Veterinary Sciences (VIAVS).
