Ebola disease outbreak update: How our teams are expanding treatment capacity in DRC
Ebole disease outbreak update: At Elikya Hospital Center in Bunia, Democratic Republic of Congo, our teams are rapidly expanding Ebola treatment capacity as the outbreak intensifies across Ituri province.
The Ebola treatment center has grown to 84 beds and is will be expanded to accommodate up to 100 patients. In the first three weeks of June alone, 196 patients were admitted, including 96 people with confirmed Ebola.
MSF logistics teams are working around the clock, constructing tents, installing sanitation systems, and reinforcing infrastructure to keep up with growing needs.
