Meet Lieutenant Ratu Meli Baivatu from Fiji, a participant in this year's Operation Tui Moana (OPTM26). A Seagoing officer with the Fiji Navy, Meli spent three weeks building his skills in fisheries intelligence, surveillance, and vessel verification while working alongside officers from across the Pacific. Through OPTM26, he gained valuable experience and regional connections to help combat illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing.
