As artificial intelligence, data governance, emerging technologies, and cybersecurity evolve at unprecedented speed, governments in Latin America face the challenge of crafting policies that stimulate innovation while protecting citizens’ rights and strengthening trust in the digital environment. The Office of the Vice Governer of Cordoba, the Legislative Body of Cordoba and the Parliamentary Track of the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) co-organized the third Parliamentary Summit Shaping Digital Futures in the Southern Cone: AI, Innovation, Data, and Cybersecurity held in Ciudad de Cordoba, Argentina from 3 to 4 November 2025, ahead of the 18th edition of the Latin American and Caribbean IGF taking place from 5 to 6 November 2025. The Euro-Latin American Parliamentary Assembly was invited to participate in the Summit with the video message from José Cepeda, Member of the European Parliament and co-chair of the working group on Security and Hybrid Threats in EuroLat.
