We shape our buildings; thereafter, they shape us. But what happens when the system is broken? When finance ignores informal incomes? WUF13 has made it clear: housing is not secondary. It is the foundation of peace, health, and opportunity. We can’t just build walls. We need to build habitats - places with land rights, infrastructure, and community. We need a "new deal" where governments, cities, and the private sector work together to finance real lives, not just market models.
