Northern Ugandan Youth Learn Skills and Build Strong Futures

In Northern Uganda, young people are turning opportunity into empowerment. After years of hardship - dropping out of school unable to pay fees, sometimes raising children alone, and struggling to make ends meet - youth like Jaxon, Dante, and Elowen joined War Child’s BRIDGE program supported by @MastercardFoundation.
Through hands-on training in horticulture and carpentry, they’ve learned to grow crops, start businesses, and support their families — even paying school fees for their children. 
Now, they’re investing their earnings into building rental rooms and hope to open workshops to train others — proving that when youth have the skills, they build stronger futures for themselves and their communities.
