In this interview, we speak with our French partner Point de Contact about their role in supporting the development of the Missing Children’s Resource Centre (MRC) in France. Drawing on their experience operating France’s hotline for reporting illegal online content, Point de Contact shares insights into the importance of strengthening national coordination to better prevent and respond to cases involving missing children and online harms affecting minors. The conversation explores the need for stronger collaboration between civil society, public authorities, and private sector actors, and how the creation of a national MRC can help improve support for children and families across France. This initiative is led by International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children as part of its work to strengthen child protection systems worldwide.
