Welcome to FSC Africa and Zamba Heritage Initiative
The Zámba Heritage Initiative is a pan-African program focused on sustainable forest management, restoration, and climate-resilient development across Africa.
The Zámba Heritage Initiative—with "Zámba" meaning “untamed wilderness” in Lingala—is a strategic effort led by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) in partnership with African governments and conservation organizations to protect and sustainably manage Africa’s forests, particularly in the Congo Basin and West Africa.
