"I think I was very lucky" - Kanha - Humanity & Inclusion

Kanha was sitting on the steps outside her home when there was a huge explosion. Tragically Kanha’s dad was killed by a bomb that he had found and Kanha herself lost her right leg. She was six-years-old. HI's teams in Cambodia have worked with Kanha throughout her rehabilitation and we know she has a bright future ahead of her. Although Kanha enjoys school, she knows that many child survivors of landmines and explosive remnants do not have the same opportunities: “I think I am very lucky, but at the same time there are other children like me that have not had the chance to go back to school. I would like to help them.” #ProstheticsForLife © HI
