The United Nations (UN) Joint Programme "PROSPER" is implemented in Malawi with funding from the United Kingdom (Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office - FCDO) through the Malawi SDG Acceleration Fund. (PROSPER) that aims to reduce the impact of climate shocks, tackle extreme poverty and end the recurrent cycle of crises and humanitarian assistance through environmentally-friendly agriculture, shock responsive social protection, disaster risk management and women’s economic empowerment. FAO, UNDP, UNICEF and WFP are working together with the Government of Malawi to build resilience of smallholder farmers to climate shocks and enhance adaptation measures.
