Cyclone Freddy Response in Malawi (Helicopter relief operation)

Under Cyclone Freddy response in Malawi, WFP has deployed two helicopters for the delivery of relief items in hard-to-reach areas. Aerial view from the helicopter show the extent of the damage. The choppers are delivering food and medical supplies. WFP is planning to move 350,000 kg of relief items in one month. The operation is made possible thanks to CERF and the Government of Iceland.
