More than 15,000 households receiving cash transfers engaged in complementary Cash + activities. Activities include; afforestation, water point cleaning and management including borehole rehabilitation, SBCC messaging on nutrition and WASH, 'Mbeya' fertiliser making and support, cholera-specific activities WFP is supporting Phalombe and Chikwawa councils with health and hygiene campaigns linked to the LSR. Other cash + support include rehabilitation of malfunctioned water points, cleaning, and revamping water point committees receiving, distribution and use of chlorine in drinking water.
