Building Water Resilience: How Evaluation Evidence is Shaping Africa's Climate Adaptation Frontline
This COP30 session presents key insights from IDEV’s evaluations of the AfDB’s water sector support, highlighting what strengthens or weakens climate resilience in Africa’s water systems. Drawing on evidence from major evaluations covering water for health and agriculture, the discussion explores how climate resilient water infrastructure, governance, and financing can protect lives and livelihoods on the continent. The session features Joseph Mouanda, Chief Evaluation Officer at IDEV, and Alba Serna, Senior Water and Sanitation Engineer at the AfDB.
