Evidence for Climate-Resilient and Sustainable Transport Systems in Africa

This COP30 session presents key findings from IDEV’s evaluation of the AfDB support for the transport sector, highlighting what strengthens or undermines climate resilience in Africa transport systems. Drawing on evidence from the 2012 to 2023 evaluation period, the discussion explores how climate resilient transport infrastructure, ancillary components, and stronger maintenance frameworks can safeguard connectivity and economic activity across the continent.
