Meet Naelijwa Mshanga, a Spring 2026 Resident Fellow. Naelijwa is a Tanzanian nutritionist and lecturer in human nutrition at Mbeya University of Science and Technology. She holds a PhD in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from the Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology. Her fellowship research is focused on evaluating the impact of an integrated intervention to reduce aflatoxin exposure among children in Tanzania. Her work has earned international recognition, including the 2023 L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Young Talents Award for sub-Saharan Africa. Stay tuned to hear more from our fellows!
