We’re excited to introduce our Spring 2026 Fellows! The CEGA Fellowship Program supports early-career African researchers with the tools, mentorship, and funding to conduct rigorous, policy-relevant research that drives better decision-making in their home regions. Meet George Temba, a Research Fellow at the Economic and Social Research Foundation in Tanzania and a 2026 visiting fellow at UC Berkeley. His work focuses on health economics, early childhood development and social protection, with an emphasis on how social protection and behavioral interventions affect welfare and human capital outcomes in East Africa.
