Cash Support Brings Hope to Abdul Mohammad’s Family in Afghanistan

Abdul Mohammad from Kangori in northern #Afghanistan tells us of the difficulties providing for his family, “I’m a day labourer, and I cannot cover my family’s expenses with the little I earn,”. With funds from the Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund, we provide families, like Mohammed’s, with tailored support based on their needs. Some families receive cash-for-food assistance to help buy essential food items, while others receive livestock support packages, deworming services, and animal health training to protect their animals and improve their livelihoods. “Today, I received 2,830 AFN (around $44) in the first round of distribution, and I will receive three more. It is a big support for a family like mine. I will go to the city and buy rice and oil for the family,” says Abdul Mohammad. In total, 1,570 families received the first round of cash-for-food assistance, while 1,953 families received livestock support packages, including animal feed and deworming syrup. Additionally, and more than 72,500 animals were treated through our deworming campaigns. Learn more at https://www.peopleinneed.net Follow us on X, LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram.
