A dignified pregnancy should be possible for every mother. In Uganda, Dr. Prosper Ahimbisibwe, a doctor and Co-Founder of M-Scan, is working to make this vision a reality. His affordable, ultra-portable ultrasound devices bring prenatal care to underserved communities across Uganda and beyond. Using only a laptop or tablet, M-Scan’s innovative device allows healthcare workers to deliver antenatal ultrasound virtually anywhere. Since its launch, M-Scan has reached over 13,000 pregnant women and helped detect more than 1,600 high-risk complications.
