Logistics Emergency Team (LET)_World Economic Forum_20 Year Anniversary_2025
When disaster strikes — flood, famine, or earthquake — every minute matters while the needs are immense. No single organisation can meet them alone. Collaboration is the only way forward.
For over 20 years, the Logistics Emergency Team (LET), comprised of four of the world’s largest logistics teams, UPS, DP World, Agility and Maersk has partnered with the Logistics Cluster, led by the World Food Programme to ensure life-saving supplies reach those in need as quickly as possible.
Since its inception, the LET has supported 50 disasters across 30 countries trained over 600 humanitarian logisticians and operated in disasters ranging from pandemics and conflicts to population displacement and extreme weather events.
The Logistics Cluster represents the collective logistics needs of the humanitarian community making it a natural partner for private sector engagement and creating a powerful multiplier effect - enabling the LET to reach and support multiple organisations through one coordinated platform, rather than acting alone.
