From Farm and Food to Future: Driving Climate Action Through NDC 3.0
From Farm and Food to Future: Driving Climate Action Through NDC 3.0
As countries have submitted NDC 2.0 and NDC 3.0, transforming agrifood systems has become essential to achieving the Paris Agreement’s goals on adaptation, mitigation, and resilience. Agrifood systems are both highly vulnerable to climate change and significant sources of greenhouse gas emissions, making them central to ambitious, integrated climate action.
In collaboration with the NDC Partnership (NDC-P), FAO is mobilizing a diverse network of partners to join forces with countries through co-creation, co-implementation, and sustained, long-term support—standing alongside governments to design, deliver, and scale transformative NDC ambition and actions for agrifood systems. Programmes such as SCALA (Scaling up Climate Ambition on Land Use and Agriculture), a joint initiative implemented with UNDP and FAO, play a key role by providing countries with coordinated technical assistance and fostering multi-stakeholder collaboration.
This event will showcase tools, resources, and partnership opportunities available through the FAO NDC Agrifood System Help Desk to help countries move from commitments to financed, measurable, and impactful actions. It will also provide space for dialogue on integrating agrifood systems into national climate strategies while ensuring that food security, livelihoods, and resilience remain at the heart of NDC implementation.
Join us to navigate the road to NDC 3.0, catalyze partnerships, and accelerate a just and resilient agrifood systems transformation.
