Championing community-based hepatitis care for people who use drugs in Nigeria
A unique relationship between community-led organisation, Drug-Free and Preventive Healthcare Organisation (DAPHO) and Gombe State Hospital, Nigeria is breaking barriers so people who inject drugs can access testing & treatment services to reduce their risk of getting hepatitis C.
Frontline AIDS’ Innovate, Involve, Inspire programme, with funding from UNITAID, aims to reduce new hepatitis C and HIV infections amongst people who use drugs in Egypt, Kyrgyzstan and Nigeria. The innovations made through this programme could significantly reduce the transmission of hepatitis C and HIV.
