How Bamboo Is Reviving Water Security and Livelihoods in Zambia
In Nsongwe Village near Livingstone, communities are restoring the degraded Nsongwe River using nature-based solutions. Supported by the Climate Adaptation and Protected Areas Initiative, the Matoya Bamboo Project is tackling climate change, drought, and water insecurity through bamboo planting that stabilizes riverbanks, reduces erosion, and supports livelihoods.
