How do we move natural infrastructure from a promising practice to one that is standard? That was a key focus on Day 1 of our Natural Solutions for Water Security: Canada’s Policy Path Forward forum, co-hosted with the Climate Risk Institute. Leaders from government, research institutions, conservation organizations, Indigenous communities, and industry explored the policy, financing, and planning changes needed to accelerate natural infrastructure adoption across Canada. Discussions focused on: ✅Unlocking private finance for natural infrastructure ✅Advancing natural asset management ✅Embedding natural infrastructure into planning and design ✅Identifying policy priorities and opportunities for action Today, the conversation shifts from identifying priorities to developing next steps, strengthening partnerships, and building momentum for coordinated action.
